Along with my practice, my other priorities are my family and my friends. I grew up in Los Angeles and am currently raising my son here. He attends the same public elementary school that I attended. And, yes, he fights me about brushing his teeth.
My parents live in Santa Barbara and come down weekly to help with my son while I work. My older sister and two young nephews live in Kansas. I recently completed my first marathon and realize that every mile I ran energized me.
In addition to being a dentist and a mother, I am also fortunate to be a volunteer. I have been a volunteer at the Children’s Dental Center in Inglewood, California, where our primary goal was patient education. I am currently volunteering with First Five of California.
My first loves are family and cosmetic dentistry. I am lucky to live and work in a city where many people want a beautiful and a healthy smile. However, without the proper dental knowledge and proper patient education, these beautiful smiles cannot be maintained. Therefore, I practice whole mouth dentistry.
My focuses are education and prevention. These hold true for the person who wants 28 veneers or for the twelve year old in braces. I want everyone to be cavity-free and healthy.
Diet and oral hygiene are large components in my preventive program. Preventive education is done with every patient. I begin treating children in the office at three and care for them into and through their adult lives.
I am grateful to see many of my patients marry and become parents of their own. The true blessing occurs when their toddlers become my new patients!
