Here’s what you can expect during the dental implant placement program:

• The dental implant process starts with surgical implantation of a custom-made tooth root into the jawbone.
• As the body heals after root implantation, the implant and bone fuse together in a process called “osseointegration."
• Then, your “abutment,” or false tooth is anchored to the tooth root for a perfect fit.
• The implants then anchor crowns, bridges or dentures, depending on your choice.
• The result is a permanent tooth fixture that can be used to eat, speak and chew like normal.
